Artist Alex Grey Early Work: SECRET DOG & RENDERED DOG & the missing Cadaver Installation Piece

Here's a screen capture of a tiny piece of Alex Grey's book, "Sacred Mirrors: The Visionary Art of Alex Grey" by Alex Grey et al.  It describes his work with a dead dog and some rendered meat products:

I recall Alex Grey--in his early career--having made a truly Avant Garde installation piece where he was hanged by the ankles in balance with a cadaver in a body bag.  I was trying to find any evidence of this online. (I remember seeing a photograph as well).

I'm still scanning some old books I have and searching for the details.  I'll update this post if I find it!

I'VE FOUND REFERENCE HERE AND ALSO ON HIS WEB PAGE:

The piece was called "Life, Death and God", and it IS mentioned on his webpage HERE.

...strangely enough, the piece turned up in my search results, but when I searched using his website's "search" function, it brought zero results.  I had to use "CTRL+F" to find it in the link above--AND--I know there used to be a black and white photograph of the performance... But it's not turning up, even with multiple searches on Google and DuckDuckGo.

Ah well.  Maybe ole Alex wants to keep his more morbid forays slightly on the down-low.  I can accept that even if I do find it annoying.

Anyway!  If you found this article because you remember the same picture--or if you have a copy of the picture--please comment or find me online.  My main web portal is HERE.
